Inflation data boosts the dollar

The annual core Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) index rose by 2.6%, in line with expectations, compared to 2.7% in the previous month's reading for April. On a monthly basis, it increased by 0.1%, as anticipated by experts. Overall, experts expected a slowdown in the growth of the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation index this month
