Gold prices hit a record high above $3,500 an ounce

Gold prices stabilized in Asian trading on Wednesday, after briefly hitting record highs as ongoing concerns about global financial health and U.S. trade tariffs kept traders biased toward safe-haven assets.

Spot gold settled at $3,534.61 per ounce, while December gold futures rose 0.3% to $3,601.15 per ounce. Spot gold briefly reached a record high of $3,547.09 per ounce earlier in the session
